This series explores the traditions of Urasenke tea ceremony, compiling a separate volume for each successive head of the Urasenke Konnichian school, from Sen no Rikyu to the 14th head, Mugensai (Tan Tansai).
Volume 8 focuses on Itto, who was brought over from the Omotesenke school following the early death of his brother, the seventh head, Jikusō.
This volume commemorates his life, which left behind great accomplishments for future generations, including the establishment of the Seven-Factor System together with Joshinsai and Mugaku Soen of Daitokuji Temple, through his legacy, favorite utensils, tea ceremonies, and more.
