***For long-term use*** *** Use the soft side of a sponge to gently wash with regular dish soap, then wipe dry thoroughly with a cloth. Natural wood does not tolerate sudden temperature changes, so avoid storing in the refrigerator or pouring boiling water over it. This can cause warping and cracking.
To prevent the surface from drying out, we recommend treating it with vegetable oil after each use. Moisturizing the surface with oil will make it stronger and enhance the luster of the wood grain. Soak a cloth or paper towel in vegetable oil and wipe the surface of the board until it is thoroughly absorbed. (Perilla oil, linseed oil, or other vegetable oils are recommended.) Wipe off any excess oil and be careful not to transfer the oil from the cup to other items when storing. Because this cup is made of natural wood, it may not fit properly due to changes in temperature and humidity.
