[Brand] ``GLASS-LAB'' (Koto brand certified) ``Touches the heart'' of the recipient. GLASS-LAB was born from the challenge of three generations of craftsmen in the downtown area. Since 1950, three generations have been operating a glass processing business in Kiyosumi-Shirakawa, specializing in flat kiriko (flat kiriko, for which there are currently only about 10 technicians in Japan). We have developed a unique expression called "sand kiriko" by combining Edo kiriko technology with world-class sandblasting technology that can draw lines down to 0.09 mm. It is a popular brand that not only exhibits its works in Japan, but also exhibits at Salone del Milano in Italy, disseminating its unique technology to the world, and being featured in various media. “Sagiriko” is a glass that touches the hearts of those who hold it (Sagiriko: Trademark registration number 6193156)
[Koto Brand] In Koto Ward, companies that manufacture products using superior technology and are trying to inherit and develop their products are recognized as the "Koto Brand." GLASS-LAB is certified as a "Koto Brand".
[Technology/Materials] When you pour alcohol into it, the pattern on the bottom of the glass reflects on the flat facets on the side, making it appear as if it has spread out. This glass is beautiful to look at, gives the drinker the pleasure of pouring, the joy of drinking, and the pleasure of using it. ``Sand Kiriko'' is a combination of two techniques: ``Hira Kiriko'' and ``Sandblasting'', in which sand is sculpted using compressed air, creating a completely new type of Edo Kiriko. It may look like a red color, but it's actually purple. The color is golden purple. Using a double-layer glass cover with purple covering on a light blue base, a fireworks shot off is engraved on the side. This is a masterpiece that expresses the reflection of fireworks on the water surface. We use custom-made colored glass, which is often used in Edo Kiriko.
