Collagen is the main component of hair follicles (the tiny sacs that surround the root of each hair). Collagen is also the main component of the skin that surrounds each hair follicle. A number of studies have shown that during anagen (active growth phase), collagen increases and thickens around hair follicles, thereby supporting hair during the growth phase.
What is Cynatine®?
Cynatine® is a bioactive keratin that promotes healthy hair.* Keratin is a protein that is naturally found in the body and makes up approximately 95% of the hair shaft (the non-living portion of hair that resides above the skin). Humans studies have shown that Cynatine can be incorporated directly into the hair shaft, thereby helping to decrease hair loss (associated with everyday brushing and washing), increase hair shine and brightness, and improve hair strength overall.*
