We offer a wide variety of products, and the following precautions apply to some of them. Please note that they are listed for all products.
【Voltage Compatibility】Designed for Japanese voltage (90-110V). Using with a different voltage may cause malfunction.
【Plug Type】Japanese plugs (A or B type). Use a conversion adapter if needed.
【Transformers & Adapters】Transformers adjust voltage; adapters only change plug shape. Using an adapter without a transformer may damage the product.
【Liability】We are not responsible for damages caused by improper use, such as using the product without a transformer.
LINTEC is a Pultec style equalizer, one of the most famous studio EQs. Hands-on track creation, done through a classic Pultec-style workflow, brings air to vocals and strings, enhances the low end of kick drums and bass, and adds warmth and weight to the entire bass. Once you use it, you'll probably regret why you've been relying on plug-in software for equalization for so long.
Vintage Workflow for Your Modern Sounds
LINTEC's lean, classic design consists of a shared frequency selection for low-frequency boost and cut (ATTEN) and a separate frequency selection for high-frequency boost and cut (ATTEN). This design allows you to precisely dial in the tone shape of the low and high frequencies as needed, while keeping the midrange clear and unclouded.
Stepped controls allow for easy recall and matching when used in stereo pairs.
Cherry-Picked Components
LINTEC broke with tradition by using a solid-state design instead of vacuum tubes. We at Lindell Audio love tubes as much as you do, but with LINTEC, the solid-state design offers countless advantages over tubes.
It can provide a smooth, creamy, and punchy character with a faster response and less noise than tube-based EQs. Matching performance is also improved when used in stereo, and vacuum tube maintenance is not required.
The operational amplifier used in LINTEC is the same OPA 1731 operational amplifier that has a proven track record in Lindell Audio's VIN series, Retro series, and 500 series compressors. The transformer is custom designed and equipped with a dedicated one.
The Pultec low-end trick
LINTEC delivers the infamous low-end trick that's been used on thousands of recordings to thicken bass lines and kick drums. Select your desired LF frequency (try starting with 100 Hz) and raise both the LF Boost and LF Attenuate controls simultaneously to your liking.
In fact, the original Pultec EQ documentation made a pretty strong statement: "Do not use boost and cut at the same time at low frequencies." This originally unintended use was started by a curious engineer. By performing this boost and cut operation simultaneously, the low end below the selected frequency will be boosted, and the frequencies slightly above the selected frequency will be cut. This specification allows you to get a satisfying body feel without worrying about the midrange becoming muddy.
