British progressive rock stalwart Jethro Tull's new studio album "Curious Ruminant" (2LP+2CD+Blu-ray)

Jethro Tull, who has released new works in quick succession such as ``The Zerot Gene'' in 2022 and ``Rock Flute'' in 2023, has already completed a new work in a short interval of 1 year and 11 months. Consisting of nine songs ranging in length from two-and-a-half minutes to nearly 17 minutes, this album is dominated by full-band music. Current band members David Goodier, John O'Hara, Scott Hammond, and guitarist Jack Clarke, who is making his first recording debut with the band, are joined by former band members keyboardist Andrew Giddings and drummer James Duncan. Ian Anderson had been saying for months after the release of Rockflute that he would start work on the new project in late 2023, and it only took a few weeks for the initial idea to begin to solidify into a purposeful draft. In May 2024, unfinished material previously recorded with John O'Hara, David Goodier and James Duncan became the starting point for a new song. When he started getting serious in June, the lyrics and melodies for the new material were quickly developed, and they fit comfortably into the musical feel and style of the earlier recordings. In addition to the characteristic flute solo and melody, accordion, mandolin, acoustic guitar, and tenor guitar also appear, and the casual background of acoustic and folk rock is reminiscent of the Tull tradition of the 70s.

This deluxe edition includes an art book, a 2-CD set (CD2: Alternative Stereo Mix), and a Blu-ray (Dolby Atmos & 5.1 Surround Sound + Interview).
