Even in the 21st century, analog records have become deeply and widely pervasive throughout the world as the ultimate audio hobby. The joy of analog playback lies in the ritual of loading the record into the player and dropping the cartridge, and a record stabilizer is a must-have item that plays a part in that ritual. Oyaide Electric released record stabilizers “STB-MS” and “STB-HW” in 2010. The total number of units shipped exceeded 2000 units, and it captured the hearts of a wide range of analog fans.
In 2014, Oyaide's record stabilizer will be further upgraded as "STB-MSX" and "STB-HWX". Carbon FRP is used on the top and bottom disc surfaces instead of the previous model's Texalium. We have further improved the sound quality through carbon FRP's excellent vibration processing. The A5052 aluminum alloy that makes up the top and bottom discs, weights made of brass chrome plating, EPDM rubber weight spacers that convert vibrations into thermal energy, and carbon FRP are used to disperse vibration modes and eliminate unnecessary vibrations that can interfere with analog playback. It brings out the dynamism of the music.
The features of the previous model, such as variable mass by attaching and detaching weights, sound quality tuning using the carbon FRP weight "STB-CM", and EP adapter function, are inherited as they are. The stylish exterior of the STB-MSX and STB-HWX has been carefully designed to fit comfortably in your hand, allowing you to place them onto your record disc reliably and safely. The lineup includes the easy-to-use standard model "STB-MSX" and the heavy weight model "STB-HWX" to meet the wide range of tastes of analog users.
