The high-power digital amplifier IC "TDA7498E" delivers a maximum output of 160W + 160W.
■Coupling Capacitor-Free Design with Active DC Servo Circuit
The active DC servo circuit eliminates input coupling.
This eliminates the effects of coupling capacitors on the audio signal line, delivering purer, more direct sound quality that is closer to the original.
After generating the positive and negative power supplies, a power regulator stabilizes both the positive and negative power supplies, minimizing the noise floor.
■Compact, High-Current Inductor Designed for Digital Amplifiers
A compact, high-current magnetically shielded inductor is used in the output filter section of the main amplifier IC, located downstream.
This inductor is significantly smaller in volume than previous models, but its flat copper wire allows it to handle high currents.
The increased surface area also reduces line impedance, making it an inductor designed for audio applications.
This has significantly improved sound distortion, achieving a noticeable improvement in sound quality, not only measured with an audio analyzer but also audibly.
■ Attention to Key Film Capacitors
For film capacitors, which also have a significant impact on sound quality, we use capacitors with an established reputation for audio applications.
All of the capacitors are from manufacturers and series numbers highly regarded for Hi-Fi audio.
Even current products from the same series by the same manufacturer can have different sound quality, so we take this into consideration when selecting components, making full use of vintage (NOS) products and other factors.
■ Built-in Speaker Protection Circuit
The coupling-capacitorless design means there are no capacitors to protect against DC leakage. However, the built-in protection circuitry protects the speakers from DC leakage in the unlikely event of DC leakage.
