DX lens for digital single-lens reflex cameras
The world's first large-diameter ultra-wide-angle zoom lens specifically designed for use with APS-C size solid-state image sensors. The latest optical design has achieved a constant aperture of F2.8 from 11mm at the wide end to 16mm at the telephoto end.
Achieving high-dimensional optical performance by using newly developed aspherical lenses and ultra-low dispersion glass
A P-MO aspherical lens, whose effectiveness has been proven in the AT-X 124 PRO DX, is placed in the front group. This, together with the glass-molded aspherical lens placed in the rear group, ideally corrects each aberration while correcting distortion. In addition, chromatic aberration is eliminated by using two pieces of SD (ultra-low dispersion) glass "FK03," which is extremely similar to fluorite. In addition, even though it has a large aperture zoom of F2.8, it achieves a minimum shooting distance of 0.3m. It is effective for drawing that takes advantage of changes in perspective.
Compact body and good operability
By placing a single piece of SD glass in the rear lens group, chromatic aberration at the periphery of the image is effectively corrected. In addition, to prevent ghosting and flare, each lens is multi-coated to achieve clear, high-quality images.
Minimum shooting distance 0.14m
It follows the body design of the AT-X 124 PRO DX, which was well received in terms of design, and is equipped with a newly developed optical system. As a result, it inherits the good operability of the AT-X 124 PRO DX while being large in diameter and compact. Filter size is 77mm. C-PL filters can also be used. With the one-touch focus clutch, AF-MF transition can be done by simply sliding the focus ring towards you. When using manual focus, the focus ring has a moderate amount of torque, allowing for precise focusing.
