Amazon review
This is Tatsuro Yamashita's second album, which was recorded with Tatsuro Yamashita working on the score himself, using the score by Charlie Calero, the New York arranger who worked on the first album, as a reference. The medium number <1> has a groovy bass line and a relaxed singing voice, the slow tune <6> has Ryuichi Sakamoto's delicate piano and dramatic strings creating a moody atmosphere, and the ballad number <8> is Tatsuro Yamashita's first one-man a cappella performance depicting a slumbering landscape.A large gathering of Japan's top musicians, including Haruomi Hosono, Minako Yoshida, and Shuichi Murakami "Ponta". This is a high-quality album that conveys Tatsuro Yamashita's straightforward passion for music by making the most of the talents of the participating guests. (Kiyoko Takemura)
